We have renamed Katrina as Rose and
Both of the pups are enjoying the swimming pool, we have a tanning deck and they get on the deck and lay in the water to cool off. In other words, I now have a big doggie swimming pool. On hot days they would rather drink out of the pool than their water jug, you go figure. Zeb is trying to make Rose behave, but it is a tough job. Rose is now into
gardening, she pulled up the zinnia; guess she did not like them. I finally had to move the mums to outside of the backyard or they were going to go the way of the zinnias.
Both of the pups went to the vet for their first check-up and are in fine health. They got their heartworm doggie chews, Zeb weighs 49.5 lbs and Rose is 42 lbs, so they have definitely gained a little weight. Zeb is a little nervous since he must remember being dropped off so he does not like to go for rides in the car yet, but he is getting better. Rose
bolts for the gate every time it is open so we are working on that and not jumping up on people. We are all going to doggie obedience school, as Rose seems a little stubborn about listening and obeying.
They like to go for walks around the neighborhood (about 1 mile) to check out everything going on. Zeb is quite the watchdog his mission in life is to guard his yard. They are both good with the little grandkids. Rose is a little wild and she will lick you to death, the kids have learned to put their hands up on their face when Rose comes by or they will
get wet. Zeb is about grand kid high so they just stare at each other, but he does like the loving he gets from everyone.
They now have two new doggie raised beds with pillows, and about a dozen toys. Zeb plays fetch Rose has no idea of the game she thinks she is suppose to steal the ball and run, hopefully she will learn how to play fetch. Rose is also quite the thief she steals anything left laying around for more than 30 seconds - cigarettes, books, small children toys etc. She
takes everything and tries to stash it in her special place, so tell everyone to hang on to their things or they will have to chase her around the backyard until she gets tired.
I will send pictures as soon as I get them developed, got a couple of cute ones of them in the pool, guess I'll have to buy her a bikini and him swimming trunks. They have adapted well to everyone and everything. We just have to get Rose to pay attention and not live in La-La land, but that is Rose. Zeb is still
quite the water puppy and makes watering the plant or the yard an adventure. I swear he is going to drown one of these days attacking sprinklers with his mouth wide open, strange little habit, but could be worse.
Take care,
Debbie, Will Rose (aka Katrina) and Zeb (aka Everett)
