Doberman
Rescue of North Texas places purebred unwanted or abandoned Doberman Pinschers
in loving homes. Most of the Dobermans we rescue come from shelters in the
Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Each dog is checked by a vet, given all shots,
tested for heartworms, spayed or neutered, treated for any illnesses or medical
problems that are found, and micro-chipped. Without exception, all dogs are
spayed or neutered before they are adopted out. The dogs come to live at
Doberhaus, our Doberman-only private shelter in Grand Prairie. Doberhaus
accommodates up to 22 dogs in 11 air-conditioned and heated runs with
comfortable beds and classical music. We have outdoor play yards where they
exercise, sunbathe, chase squirrels and rabbits, and do other important doggy
activities. We have limited additional capacity for dogs in sick bay and foster
homes. When a suitable adopter makes the right choice, each dog is adopted to
what we hope is a forever home. Puppies thru mature are normally available. Doberman Rescue of North Texas, Inc., is a non-profit corporation. It is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) charity. This means that donations made to Doberman Rescue of North Texas, Inc., are tax deductible. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
We also provide a referral service for people who need to find a home for their Doberman and list Dobermans that are in animal shelters that we cannot pick up. Referrals and shelter dogs are not processed through Doberman Rescue of North Texas. We only act as a liaison service between the current owner or shelter and people looking for dogs. We have no actual contact with referral and shelter dogs and so we provide no veterinary care and can only provide people with the information the current owner or shelter gives us.
Please note: We limit our adoptions to people who live within a three hour drive of DFW airport.
