Long Distance Adoption

Our growing network of volunteers and supporters has allowed us to expand our adoption area! We now adopt to all of Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas and large parts of New Mexico and Louisiana. If you live in one of these states, we invite you to apply. We also adopt to people who have previously successfully adopted from Doberman Rescue of North Texas but have moved away from our primary adoption area.

We also encourage you to contact Doberman Rescues close to your home using the Doberman Pinscher Club of America Rescue Directory or doing an Internet search for Doberman Rescue in your state.

Rescue Partners

We partner with San Antonio Doberman Assistance and Rescue (SADAR), headquartered Southwest from San Antonio in Devine, TX, and Last Hope Doberman Rescue, headquartered in Killeen, TX. If you live close to one of them, please check out their dogs.

Still Interested in a Long Distance Adoption?

When you fill in your application, be sure to indicate that you have previously adopted from Doberman Rescue of North Texas and tell us the name of the dog (the name the dog had here, please) and the year you adopted.

If you live outside our area we suggest you do an internet search for Doberman Rescue in your state or an adjacent state to find a Doberman Rescue closer to you. You can also check on our directory to locate other Doberman Rescues in the United States.
